The National Business Consultant will be responsible for serving as a relationship manager for credit union management, staff as well as assigned leagues for the suite of CU Solutions Group (CUSG) products. This position will be assisting credit unions in their research and understanding of products and services and advise credit unions of the benefits of CUSG products. In addition to generate quality leads to the inside sales consultants of the various CUSG divisions and work in conjunction with them to ensure a successful sale.

This position requires significant travel while supporting the following states: AK, AR, AZ, CO, IA, IN, KS, MN, MO, ND, NM, OK, SD, TX, UT & WY



  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field
  • Minimum of three years of previous experience in sales (outside sales preferred) and relationship management
  • Previous technology or software product sales experience strongly preferred
  • Strong sales and pipeline management skills
  • Passion, great communication skills, self-motivation, positive attitude and competitive spirit
  • Basic understanding of product positioning and competitive conditions
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with goals that will challenge you
  • Excellent interpersonal and group communication skills are required. 
  • Comfortable with public speaking required
  • Must have a valid driver's license, position requires significant travel.



  1. Conduct extensive in-person, telephone and internet-based contacts with assigned credit unions and leagues. Frequent overnight travel is required 50-60% travel required.
  2. Build relationships to generate leads to inside sales of all CUSG Divisions from assigned credit unions, leagues and clients
  3. Develop relationships with key credit union management and staff in assigned credit unions and maintain accurate contact records.
  4. Work in conjunction with other CUSG NBCs, sales teams and other staff in all divisions.
  5. Manage all functions related to establishing products at credit unions, including meeting with top level credit union management and staff to present/demonstrate new products and services and work with credit union staff to implement programs.
  6. Work as a liaison to assigned leagues to promote CUSG products and maintain relationships, educate on products they are promoting, and ensure sales and marketing compliance.
  7.  Consult with credit unions to identify strategic goals of credit union.
  8. Coordinate credit union visits with business partners as requested.
  9. Provide product training to various levels of staff on the LMCUR programs in person and via webinars.
  10. In conjunction with sales team, develop and implement strategies for retaining existing business at contract expiration.
  11. Troubleshoot unresolved customer service problems, implement solutions and escalate to CUSG staff as necessary.
  12. Weekly, communicate sales pipeline and opportunities to CUSG staff.
  13. Daily, update the database with opportunities, sold and lost sales.
  14. Conduct out of state meetings with key personal to introduce/promote products as necessary.
  15. Assist in development of sales/marketing materials as needed for products sold by this position
  16. Track and report on all sales activities (call, emails, opportunities, pipeline and sales stage of each prospect)
  17. Participate in all CUSG sales meetings.
  18. Represent CUSG at assigned league annual conventions and other key conferences.
  19. Maintain product knowledge
  20. Gather and provide marketplace intel on competitor products, CUSG's reputation, and service quality etc.
